The Sad "State" of Affairs

Pastor Adrian Rogers explained how many Americans feel today.

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

This quote came for this post on our present situation. Maybe I'll post something later today.

Just what you need....................A little international finance

The beginning and end of this short (I promise you that it is short) article are the good parts. For those who don't want to read it here's a synopsis.

USA - "China stop manipulating your currency to acquire an advantage in world trade."

China - "We hold $682 Billion of your debt that we now want guarantees for."

USA - "Sorry, we won't speak out of turn again. After all the new guy said it. What does he know? He couldn't even figure out his own taxes. Turbo Tax, duh! Can we be friends again? Anything we can get for you? Anything at all? How about the Statue of Liberty? After all, New York is almost bankrupt and could really use the cash."
